Brand Identity
Mission
VICEROY answers the call for defense readiness by increasing the number of new and upskilled mission-capable professionals available to fill critical cyber-spectrum research and operations positions within the Department of Defense (DoD) and vital industries — and contribute on Day One.
Vision
To be nationally recognized as the leading experiential cyber-spectrum operations education and workforce pipeline, producing job-ready leaders in DoD sectors.
VICEROY envisions a nation protected by an agile, mission-ready cyber-spectrum workforce – empowered through academic excellence, hands-on experience, and a deep commitment to national service. We aim to lead the transformation of defense workforce development by connecting talent to purpose and shaping future cyber-spectrum leaders who advance research, resilience, and security across the Department of Defense and vital industries.
Funding Statement
VICEROY is a congressional interest item authorized by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 Section 1640, “Program to Establish Cyber Institutes at Institutions of Higher Learning,” and is funded annually through congressional appropriation. Leadership for the initiative is provided by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering and executed in collaboration with Air Force Research Laboratory and facilitated by Griffiss Institute.

The VICEROY logo is a cornerstone of our brand identity.
