By adhering to these guidelines, you help maintain the strength and consistency of the VICEROY brand, supporting our mission to develop the next generation of leaders in cyber-spectrum operations.

Brand Identity

Mission 

VICEROY answers the call for defense readiness by increasing the number of new and upskilled mission-capable professionals available to fill critical cyber-spectrum research and operations positions within the Department of Defense (DoD) and vital industries — and contribute on Day One.  

Vision 

To be nationally recognized as the leading experiential cyber-spectrum operations education and workforce pipeline, producing job-ready leaders in DoD sectors.  

VICEROY envisions a nation protected by an agile, mission-ready cyber-spectrum workforce – empowered through academic excellence, hands-on experience, and a deep commitment to national service. We aim to lead the transformation of defense workforce development by connecting talent to purpose and shaping future cyber-spectrum leaders who advance research, resilience, and security across the Department of Defense and vital industries.   

Funding Statement 

VICEROY is a congressional interest item authorized by the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 Section 1640, “Program to Establish Cyber Institutes at Institutions of Higher Learning,” and is funded annually through congressional appropriation. Leadership for the initiative is provided by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering and executed in collaboration with Air Force Research Laboratory and facilitated by Griffiss Institute.

Logo Usage

The VICEROY logo is a cornerstone of our brand identity.  

To maintain its integrity: 

  • Clear Space: Ensure sufficient space around the logo to prevent visual clutter. 
  • Minimum Size: Maintain legibility by adhering to minimum size requirements. 
  • Color Variations: Use approved color versions of the logo to suit different backgrounds. 
  • Prohibited Uses: Do not alter, distort, or add effects to the logo.

Color Palette

Our color palette reflects the professionalism and mission-focus of the VICEROY program. The primary colors include:

Typography

Consistent typography reinforces our brand’s clarity and professionalism.  

The primary typefaces are: 

  • Headings: Tenorite Bold 
  • Body Text: Tenorite Regular 
  • Alternative Use Text: Ariel, Calibri, Open Sans

Imagery

Imagery should capture the essence of VICEROY—innovation, leadership, and collaboration in cyberspectrum operations. Use high-resolution photos that reflect diversity, engagement, and professionalism.
