Empowering Mission-Ready Cyber-Spectrum Leaders

2026 VICEROY Symposium Convenes Nation’s Top Talent

The 2026 VICEROY Symposium, held April 14–16 at the College of William & Mary, brought together senior Department of War leaders, academia, industry partners, and top emerging talent to advance a shared mission:

Building a mission-ready cyber-spectrum workforce to defend the United States in an increasingly contested battlespace.

Centered on the theme “Empowering Mission-Ready Cyber-Spectrum Leaders,” the symposium aligned critical technologies, education, and operational readiness across sectors vital to national security.

Key Highlights:
• Gilded Guardian National Cyber Competition (Finale): Elite teams tackled real-world cyber threats in a high-intensity operational environment
• Student Research & Poster Sessions: Scholars delivered cutting-edge solutions in cyber operations, data science, and electromagnetic spectrum dominance
• Leadership Panels: Senior officials emphasized workforce readiness, upskilling, and experiential learning
• “Answer the Call” Premiere: A powerful look at the next generation of cyber-spectrum leaders

“What we witnessed is exactly what the future workforce must look like: technically elite, operationally experienced, and driven by service,” said VICEROY National Director Chester “CJ” Maciag.

The VICEROY Initiative continues to serve as a cornerstone of national talent development—connecting academia, government, and industry to accelerate the pipeline of mission-ready professionals.
